SAE Warranty Information

At Step Above Exteriors, we stand behind the quality of our workmanship and the materials we install. This Warranty outlines what is covered, the duration of coverage, exclusions, and how to make a claim. Please read it carefully.

1. Workmanship Warranty

We offer a [X]-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty on all installation services, including but not limited to:

  • Siding Installation

  • Window and Door Replacement

  • Soffit and Fascia Installation

  • Eavestrough (Gutter) Installation

This warranty covers defects directly related to our labor, such as improper installation or failure to meet industry standards.

2. Manufacturer Warranty

All materials used are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. These warranties vary by product and brand (e.g., vinyl siding, window frames, aluminum soffit, etc.). We will provide all necessary documentation upon completion of your project, including.

  • Manufacturer warranty certificates

  • Care instructions

  • Product lifespan expectations

Please note: It is your responsibility to register any extended warranties with the manufacturer, if applicable.

3. What’s Covered

Under our workmanship warranty, we will repair or replace affected areas due to:

  • Loose siding or panels due to installation error

  • Improperly sealed windows or doors

  • Sagging gutters caused by improper mounting

  • Incorrect alignment of fascia or soffit

We will perform any qualifying repair at no cost to you , provided the issue falls within the warranty scope and timeframe.

4. What’s Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by severe weather (hail, windstorms, ice dams, etc.)

  • Vandalism, abuse, or accidents

  • Improper maintenance, cleaning, or negligence

  • Modifications made by third-party contractors or the homeowner

  • Natural wear and tear over time (e.g., fading, scratches, discoloration)

5. Transferability

This workmanship warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original homeowner listed on the contract. If the property is sold, the warranty becomes void unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. How to File a Warranty Claim

To file a claim:

1. Contact us in writing at [email protected]

2. Include:

  • Your name

  • Project address

  • Date of installation

  • Description and photos of the issue

We will respond within 5 business days to schedule an inspection. If the issue qualifies, we will schedule repairs within a reasonable timeframe depending on weather and crew availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability under this warranty is limited to the original contract value of the specific service or material installed. We are not liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from installation issues.
